Contemporary praise and worship, a Biblical message and communion.

On October 6th, Austin Temperley will be speaking about the importance of Biblical community in the context of the family. Families are something we prize at Creekside, and we believe that a godly family is one of the best witnesses to the world around us! As a church, we want to encourage and equip our own community to be faithful spouses, wise parents, and obedient children.

As part of this desire, there will be a baby dedication on October 6, led by the elders. In case there may be any confusion about this, we want to state clearly that baby dedication IS NOT infant baptism. It IS NOT a means for salvation. Rather, it is a way for parents to publically state their desire to raise their child in “the training and instruction of the Lord” (Eph. 6:4). It is also a way for the whole church to dedicate to come alongside them and commit to prayer, encouragement, and support in this effort– with the understanding that we are trusting God with their lives.

This is for anyone who has young children (they don’t necessarily have to be babies) and who would like to make this commitment publicly, asking for prayer in this adventure from the whole church. If you would like to be a part of this baby dedication or have any questions please contact Nick Reed:nick@creeksidedm.com
