Dress A Girl is having a fundraising pancake breakfast (including sausage, fruit, juice, milk and coffee) at Creekside on Saturday, November 4th from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Tickets are $6.00 each and includes entry into a door prize drawing for a hand-made quilt. We will have a raffle for other great prizes.

We are also currently taking orders for Butter Braid Bread (Double Chocolate, Apple, Blueberry Cream Cheese, Cherry, Cinnamon, Raspberry, Strawberry Cream Cheese) for $14 each, except the 4 Cheese & Herb for $15. Please see Sandy Elifritz or Myrna Baird to order, and make checks payable to “Dress A Girl At The Reserve”. You can pick up purchases at The Reserve on November 18th.

What is ‘Dress A Girl’? It’s a campaign under Hope 4 Women International bringing sundresses to little girls in third world countries via missionaries. In addition to providing quality clothing, the dresses are designed with prominent labels to warn would-be predators looking to capture girls for slave labor and prostitution that someone is looking after them. In two years, volunteers at The Reserve (the senior living community next door to Creekside) has made and sent almost 2,000 dresses to various countries in Africa, to Brazil and also Haiti. Some at Creekside have also volunteered with Dress A Girl.

If you’d like to volunteer in this ministry, get in touch with Sandy or Myrna. More information about Dress A Girl: http://dressagirlaroundtheworld.com/
