This Sunday 6/24 will the special offering to raise money to purchase candy for the Urbandale 4th of July parade float. Also, the 24th will be the last Sunday for the sign-up sheet to volunteer to help with the float decorations or walk in the parade. We have a good number of volunteers for decorating (and we welcome more), but we still need another 10 to 12 volunteers to walk alongside the float. Please consider volunteering if you are around for the 4th of July. The parade is in the morning so the afternoon is still free for other activities. The parade starts at 10:00, and the route is from the old city hall (3315 70th Street) north to Aurora and then west to 82nd Street which is about 1.7 miles. The total time commitment will depend on our start position in the parade lineup. Once again, please feel free to reply to this email if you would like to volunteer, specify the parade, decorating or both and I will put you on the list.
